He's not even phased by it!

Terri - Well, thank you...so are yours! I hate what Kacey's going through though...I am not ready for that!

MJ - I do! I will send you some by email!

Jenelle - We do love us some steak around here!

Sheri - No doubt!! The mouth never stops running on either one of them, does it?

T - I'm glad I could get you laughing!

Kate - There's no point in pussyfooting around it...it's going to happen and the sooner they get used to the idea the easier it is. Kendall was actually in tears last winter when Barry started butchering his deer without her. She was so curious...and we thought that was great! It's important to understand where our food comes from. This is why we garden, hunt, and yes, have chickens. Who knows, maybe next we'll get our own cows too...LOL!!!Kuckiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01277787903922158551noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20630027.post-73768134479411890652008-10-07T08:37:00.000-04:002008-10-07T08:37:00.000-04:00I love that you and hubby don't pussyfoot around t...I love that you and hubby don't pussyfoot around this topic w/ the kids. That's a great lesson for them - to learn the food chain, the purpose of some animals, and how we must respect that.

Plus, they're just so darn cute (the kids) - I love when you share their "adventures".Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04903029958201806185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20630027.post-40987026701661775962008-10-06T14:15:00.000-04:002008-10-06T14:15:00.000-04:00That one got me laughing out loud for sure!! We love animals, but aren't too in love with them to have them for dinner eventually. We still have a freezer full of deer meat, duck and turkey from last year and now it's hunting season again! BTW, do you happen to have any good recipes for ground deer meat? (or maybe your brothers might!?!)Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10038454792972449216noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20630027.post-81833831355988707112008-10-05T15:10:00.000-04:002008-10-05T15:10:00.000-04:00Your kids are amazing!Your kids are amazing!terrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12510457113017189354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20630027.post-11096367746682353752008-10-05T10:44:00.000-04:002008-10-05T10:44:00.000-04:00Oh my!
