Don't get excited...

This entire week has been unbelievable, but a day like today leaves me telling myself not to get too excited. It was almost 70 degrees today! It was sunny and breezy and beautiful. I want to believe that spring has indeed SPRUNG!

But alas, I live in Ohio...and anyone who has grown up around these parts knows that this most likely is a tease. That's right...a tease. Because as much as we want to believe that the snow and ice and cold weather are over, we know that Mother Nature loves to mess with our heads. Just as the daffodils and tulips start poking through the soil and we actually start thinking, "YES!!! It's really happening!! Spring is here!!"...it's at that precise moment that we will get snow. Many times we have had snow at Easter, and even toward the end of April.

So no, I am not getting too excited. But darn, it's hard not to!! I mean, look at what we did today after we all got home...Barry and Noah got to work filling muskrat holes along our dam.
We flew kites, and the kids were so excited at how high they got!

And here's what we did the other day...
Check out Kendall's little goalie dance...those are some mad skills! :)

So what do you think? Has spring sprung?

I've been trying to avoid acknowledging that the same thing happens here in MN. It's been gorgeous for 4 days now and I want it to stay, but we will likely see another cold snap and possibly some snow too. (Ugh.)

Kite flying looks like FUN! I haven't done that in ages.

Kendall is getting so tall!

I refuse to talk about spring--we're still getting snow. It's *Seattle* for crying out loud--we don't do snow--especially not in March and April!

*sigh*

you have the perfect spot for kite flying (and the wind to go with it). Until Late April/early May I dare not use to term spring. I'll enjoy any bonus warm days until then though. I need to start planning my gardens!

It is so cold here right now we had to turn the heat on in the house and pull the winter jackets...but by Easter we should be feeling warm and cozy...it can't come soon enough!!!

What great pics! Spring sprang [sprung?] on Friday for us but reverted back to Winter, especially today. We have at least an inch of snow on the ground right now and its still coming down. Figures! You're right, Mother Nature gave us a tease! I hope it gets a lot sunnier for us both soon!

I sure hope so. But then on morning like today it dips back down into the 40s. It certainly feels that it has sprung now that we spent all day Saturday letting in the fresh air and giving the house a good Spring Cleaning. Hope it's here to stay . . . . for a while!
