As you all know, this year has been my year to purge this house and get rid of all the clutter. I know it sounds weird to say I'm dedicating a whole year to this process, but it takes a long time peeps...especially with the monkeys around. I have been selling things, trashing things (I really thing you could pull up a dumpster right outside my front door) and donating things. In addition to my Craig's List frenzy (which I've already told you about), I've been making piles all over this house of things to be donated this week...and let me tell you, I will NOT be sad to see all of this stuff go!!!
Of course, the sad part is that it's only the beginning. There is so MUCH STUFF that I just want gone. However, being the conscientious person I am, I can't just throw it away. I have to make sure the batteries get taken out of toys (and recycled if they are dead), I have to make sure that the clothes I donate are in somewhat good condition...no trash. I have to make sure the electronics work, and if not, that they go to the proper location for recycling. I try to include the instruction manuals of things I donate, if I can find them. I wash the shoes that I donate, because...well, just because. This takes so much time, it's unreal. But that's ok! Because it will be gone...and hopefully someone else will be able to use it.
Just wait until I share the pics of the bags and boxes of stuff that's going. It will be inspiring, I promise! :) Are any of you "fall cleaners" instead of "spring cleaners", like me?

I never do spring cleaning. I do tend to get that cleaning urge in the fall. But it hasn't hit me yet! I'm beginning to worry! Maybe this winter when it's too cold to do anything else...
With a 5 year old and a 3 year old in the house, I am constantly purging. They grow out of clothes and toys so fast, but luckily I have a nephew to pass most of it along to. Next up is all the crap my husband hoards!
Good to know you have a blissful spirit and not being sad of giving your stuffs away. I'm sure you can put a smile on every person whom you will give yours stuffs to. Plus you put your heart into it--making sure the clothes are fine, with manual, etc. Bravo to that! :)
