My dad sent me this picture the other day, and I just thought I'd share. He took this picture up at the cabin where he, his friend Tom, my brother Luke, and Barry were deer hunting a few weeks ago. I always hear about how cold it is, and how early they have to get up and how they have to sit in their tree stands for hours keeping still, and how they have to track the deer through the snow and then drag them back. Oh yeah, and how they have to get up in the middle of the night to stoke the fire and go out to the outhouse to "do their business". It sounds really brutal, right?
Well, my handsome hubby and Tom look pretty bright-eyed and bushy-tailed here, don't they? Well rested, wouldn't you say? You think it might have something to do with that bottle of Jack sittin' over there on the table? Yeah, I guess they left that part out... LOL!
Anyway, I'm happy to report that everybody came home with a deer or two this year. What would we do without our venison??? Thank goodness for our "dear" deer hunters!

My hubby's hunting conditions sound about as difficult. But for some strange reason - he always wants to go back for more.
