As if I needed another reason, right? What's not to like? She's an Aires (just like me), we both love ice cream and chocolate more than the normal individual can understand (and we're both quite snobby about our choices!), she's kind, generous, quick-witted, and has a killer sense of humor. She's smart, articulate, and FUN! She is grounded and balanced and loves to cook...all things I admire about her! I think I'm a better person when I'm around her, and really, isn't that what we all need in a friend?
Yeah, all of that is true...but here is my most recent reason for thinking she's the bomb: Sheri just got back from a 9 day trip to Italy, and what does she bring me, her friend who was sitting in a snowstorm in Ohio, jealous as hell? No, not some little trinket to sit around, not a Euro to just take up space in my change jar, not a postcard with a beautiful picture on it (she took PLENTY of beautiful pictures!)... no, no, no!!!! She brings me ITALIAN CHOCOLATE!!!!!! Yes, folks...that's right...CHOCOLATE!
I love that girl, I really do.
Now, do I eat it all myself, or share it with the fam??? Decisions, decisions, decisions.....

I blush.....All the reasons you love me are the same reasons I love you. I can't help you with the chocolate sharing dilemna, b/c as you said so eloquently, I am a generous person, BUT if the parties you consider sharing with, do not share the same passion for the chocolate, the magic of the experience could be "wasted" on them. But then again, everything is better when shared! Maybe, do a 4:1 ratio......you being the 4. Ciao!
I love Peruginian chocolate. Friends brought me some Baci from Italy in college and I've been hooked since then. To feed your love of chocolate - you can find Baci at World Market if you have one of those anywhere near you.
mmmmmmm, I need more firends like that....she sounds wondeful!!!
Normally I would encourage chocolate hoarding vs. sharing because if someone doesn't have a passion for chocolate then it would be wasteful to give them any. However, this case is special since you have mentioned that your son seems to have an inborn appreciation for only fine quality chocolate. You might just have to share : )
Ok, so I'm not really a chocolate lover...but my best friend is. Now I know that if I ever go anywhere cool, to just bring her back some chocolate and she will love me forever! haha
That was very sweet and thoughtful of her, to bring you something she knew you would LOVE! :)
Baci ROCKS! Ohhhh, the sweeet chocolatey hanzlenutiness! We bought a whole bunch on our honeymoon in Rome. Fortunately, they do sell it in grocery stores in the states too. ENJOY!
My mom used to bring back these incredible chocolates from Italy that had coffee/espresso in the middle. I don't even remember the name to search for them. What a wonderful friend you have to treat you to something so special!
