CRAP!!!

So I've been a single parent for the last couple of days. Barry is on a business trip, and I am holding down the fort. Things have been going really well, actually! But just now, I heard Noah calling me to come get his cup...and I went in to the completely dark room (his nursery is only accessible through our room), and I lost my bearings and ran face first into the door frame!!! CRAP!!!

My first inclination, of course, was to yell, "DAMMMITTT!!!". But I didn't. Instead I checked for blood while my eyes were watering. I had hit the corner of the door frame squarely on my forehead and nose.

No blood. Good.

Then I started giggling. And now I can't stop! I know how funny it would have looked, had anyone been able to see!

Yeah, this is definitely one of "those stories" that Barry always tells me I shouldn't tell people. I think he's concerned I may look silly!

Yeah, 'cause that's NEVER happened before....

OH, I HATE when stuff like that happens, and it happens to ALL of us. I hope you're not too hurt!

Oh gosh, Ken always worries that I am looking foolish, I never care!! I'm glad you shared your story, it did make me smile, imagining you in the dark rooting around. I'm especially glad you weren't seriously injured.

He might be concerned that when people ask "Oh dear, what happened to you?!" and your answer is, "Ummm, I walked into the doorframe?" it looks rather like he's beating you : )

Hope there isn't too much bruising!

Hey All-- I'm ok...not even a mark today...although last night I was seeing stars!!

Countrymouse - believe me, he isn't worried about that...he truly thinks that I tell a lot of stories that make me look ditzy. I don't care about that, I have those moments just like everyone else!

Kenady - I'll check it out!

I think if we put some of these stories together (I have so many) someone could have a really great career as a comic on stage - I am still scrubbing nail polish off my body!!!!
