Warm those bellies!

So in light of the fact that we are in the middle of a "blizzard warning"(geesh!) and are due to receive 10-12 inches of snow tonight, we are having fun!! The snow started around 9:30 or so this morning, and picked up speed throughout the day. Kendall's school let out early, and Barry's workplace closed early too...so as soon as they got home, Barry and the kiddos got dressed in their snow gear and headed out to play. Mama laid down and took a little nap! So, no pictures of snow play today...BUT, I do have pictures of what happened afterward! What snowy day is complete without big mugs of hot cocoa???? But oh no! We were out of marshmallows!!! What to do, what to do??? I'll tell you what!!! Homemade whipped cream!!
Oh my, was that good!!! These happy kids are my witnesses...And, finally after all my hard work, a nice steaming mug for little ol' me...Hot cocoa, anyone??? Come on over! There's nothing I like more than a big snowstorm to slow everything down for a day or two! We'll be here playing games and watching movies and making all sorts of yummy comfort foods...and of course, we'll be up for company!

Stay warm, everyone!

Funny thing...we never got any snow...we are not all that far apart and we missed that storm all together...

Oh, KC, you are too funny. Here you go, try it at home.

Take one carton of heavy whipping cream and 2 tbsp of sugar and whip it with your mixer in a deep glass or stainless steel bowl until it looks and tastes like whipped cream!!!

LOL!
